Dr. Taniko King-Jordan is a seasoned community engagement leader with over 15 years of experience advancing equity, public safety, and youth advocacy across sectors. As Director of Community Engagement at SoundThinking, she leads strategic partnerships with law enforcement, community-based organizations, and local governments to strengthen trust, reduce violence, and foster trauma-informed approaches to public safety. With a background in generalist social work practice and executive leadership, Dr. King-Jordan has built a career around empowering underserved communities, advocating for justice-focused policies, and designing innovative engagement models. She has served in senior roles across nonprofits, public agencies, and school systems—bridging the gap between government institutions and the communities they serve.
